Now that you have a puppy, you will surely have that responsibility now. It is not that easy for it is not just about feeding them and taking them for walks and making them do their business. There is the right way for that, and the best way for them to do that correctly is by training them.

Training is not all about the tricks they can do but also how they will behave in your house so that it will be a lot easier for both of you. What is the best way to do that? Is there an effective solution? Here are some tips:

1. Best Time

You will need to start at the right age. The best would be not too young and not too old either, and that age is said to be between 12 and 16 weeks old. They have enough control of that age. In case you have one older than that, there is a possibility that it may take longer but still can do it.

2. Set Schedule

 Routines are a big part of dogs. They easily can easily attain something even if they did it once. What more can it be if it is repeated? Because of that, you will have to set a schedule on when they will eat and go out. That way, it will set on their minds and not bug you at any time. Dogs tend to be structured also, and this will definitely help them. It will also be helpful for you, so you can set it up with your other chores too. This is also helpful if you are a busy person. Whether you are an employee or self-employed, it will certainly help you manage your time and schedule. It is also a great reminder that you have other responsibilities. 

3. Give Treats

Treats are always there when they are training. It is the most effective way for them to retain it and also to do it again. Just keep in mind not always do it or else they might do it for the rewards and not establish a routine. What you can do is have it at the start then you can give it at random times. You can also provide them with big achievements like not having accidents or staying at their crate for a long period of time. It is a great way to celebrate it with them.

4. Repeat

As mentioned before, dogs like routine and structure. So for them to set their mind on this, they have to do this again and again. You will just have to repeat the above steps.

5. Patience

Training them is not that easy. With that, you will need to have a lot of patience. If they cannot do something right away or have a hard time with it, do not panic or be angry. Instead, give them the love and trust that will be able to do it in the end. Things do not have to be rushed and just do it one day at a time.
